The Boomerang Femur of Yang Luo
This magic weapon looks like an oddly curved human thigh bone. These sinister artifacts are used as thrown weapons by demons and sorcerers. In general these weapons are available only in the netherworld and in the 69 AD juncture.
In truth the boomerang femur is not a femur at all. It is actually one of many strange little bones that were scattered throughout the netherworld when the giant demon Yang Luo was destroyed. Some extremely shady sorcerers and demons have since scavenged them for use as weapons.
The boomerang femur counts as a magic weapon. The damage inflicted by the boomerang femur is based on the magic secondary attribute of the wielder. Instead of a regular fixed base damage the boomerang femur inflicts magic + 2 damage when thrown.
An attack with the boomerang femur can be made using either the sorcery skill or the creature powers skill. It cannot be used with the martial arts skill. Attacking with the boomerang femur is a four shot action. At the end of those four shots the femur will magically return to the thrower's hand so it can be used again. The range of an attack with the boomerang femur is equal to 10 plus the user's magic rating in meters.
The idea of the boomerang femur came out of an evening of playing the Shadowfist CCG. The demon femur is the weird little bone that the sinister priest is holding as he crawls around grave robbing. The bone is curved like a rib, but otherwise shaped like a femur. What else could it possibly be but a demon's bone? That's no ordinary grave he's climbing out of - it's a portal to the Nether World!
