Thomas Wa was born into a reasonably wealthy Hong Kong family and grew up as an irresponsible youth. This wasn't really a problem until he took up gambling. He was never really very good at gambling and rapidly found himself deeply in debt to the notorious crime boss Big Brother Tsien.

Naturally, Tsien was only too happy to put young Mr. Wa to work running petty jobs for his gang. As time progressed Tsien pressed harder and harder eventually training Thomas to be a hit man. For his part, Thomas was in a state of extreme denial. He forced himself to believe that the things he was doing for Tsien were just a temporary job and that soon he would be able to work his way free and go legit. Besides, all of the people Tsien ordered him to hit were nearly as bad as Tsien himself. He even opened an art gallery as a legitimate business. In his mind it was a future, not just a front.

This process continued for several years before Tsien ordered the now well known underworld hit man, "Boom Boom" Wa to lean on a shop owner who had consistantly refused to pay protection money to Tsien. Seeing the honest shopkeeper trying to earn an honest living and protect his family cracked the shell of denial surrounding Thomas. This guy was not underworld slime. He was a legitimate citizen who deserved better. He quit Tsien's gang then and there and vowed never to work as a criminal again.

Thomas eventually linked up with a small group associated with the Dragons. For a time they fought against Tsien's gang by destroying drug shipments and intercepting assassinations. Then the Demons came. Through all of his various troubles Thomas had been a pretty level headed guy. He could cope with gang land politics and had no trouble extending the concept to the cosmic turf war that is the secret war.

Everything was fine until he encountered his first demon. It was something with which he could not cope. It was one thing too many. It was then that he had his customized, silver plated demon slayer AK-47 made. He keeps it in a velvet lined box slung over his shoulder together with two clips of custom made silver ammunition.

There are no demons in this world. If the demons can't accept that, Thomas Wa will just have to convince them of it.

Tragically, Thomas' crusade was cut short while he was adventuring in 1850. He and his party were cut down in a battle with Pledged agents.

Campaign Note: The only person standing at the end of Thomas Wa's last battle was a pledged operative. As far as can be determined Thomas Wa is dead. Nevertheless, the Ascended might have had a use for a skilled assassin. It is known that his close associate, Romeo Law, was considering a career in the Lodge...
