Vampire Counts
Games Workshop sells a full range of detailed models for the vampire counts army, but I have always been struck by the ubiquitous skull and bones motif prominantly displayed on every shield, banner, and breastplate in the army. It is as if Vlad and Isabella von Carstein are operating vast zombie forges deep underground turning out thousands of skull-themed shields and helmets for their armies.
It seems to me that a proper undead soldier should simply wield the weapons he held when he died. Based on that idea I had the idea of converting a non-undead Warhammer army into a Vampire Counts army. The lost undead host of a fallen grail knight seemed a fitting basis for a Blood Dragon list.
